ÁLLATSÁGOK

STRANGE ANIMALS

Everyone knows what a pangolin and a pit bull are, but if we asked a few passers-by on the street, probably few would be able to tell us what an agouti or a fossa looks like. Not to mention the possum and the baribal, not to mention the ínia.. Krisztina Tóth’s playful and humorous poems are not only for children, but also for adults who appreciate linguistic ingenuity. Of course, we should not expect scientific accuracy from the poems; the author initially entertained her son and herself with poems about strange animals – and now she entertains us too.

„The ability to adapt to children and the author’s sense of form lend credibility to Strange Animals. The book itself becomes truly child-friendly reading material because it was created as an ‘object’ according to their needs..” (Csilla Nagy: „Azt hinnéd, Brehm úr csak kitalálja”, Palócföld)
