The publication of Universal Adapter is cause for celebration. Krisztina Tóth, one of the most significant and widely read authors of contemporary Hungarian literature, follows on for recent novels Pixel, Aquarium, and short stories book Instant Glue with a collection of poems written in recent years. Cities, objects, people, annoying or amusing stories set the poems in motion, allowing us to follow the poet on a journey to understanding everyday yet fundamentally important things. Világadapter tells stories about the passage of time, distance, pain, and loss, sometimes playfully, sometimes with shocking seriousness.
