VILÁGADAPTER

UNIVERSAL ADAPTER

The publication of Universal Adapter is cause for celebration. Krisztina Tóth is one of the most significant and widely read authors of contemporary Hungarian literature. „Universal Adapter” is a collection of poems written in recent years following recent novels „Pixel”, „Aquarium”, and a short story collection „Instant Glue”. Objects, people, annoying or amusing stories set the poems in motion, allowing us to follow the poet on a journey as she describes scenes from everyday life with deeper meaning. Universal Adapter explores the passage of time, distance, pain, and loss, sometimes playfully, sometimes with shocking seriousness.

„Univeral Adapter collection of poems contain a lot of pain, bitterness, and a sense of loss, with somewhat different instrumentation than in previous works. How all this becomes beauty, playfulness, a slap in the face, sadness, doubt, irony, curiosity, artistry, and a shocking experience is the great adventure of reading this volume.”
